George Washington

Media Fast is over!!! :) I'm not sure if this poem is all accurate, but I do know all the ages that I say are true! When I wrote it I googled them ;)

George Washington
When old George Washington
Was a young lad
He cut down an apple tree
That his father had

But not just any tree
It was his father's best
So why couldn't he
Have cut down the rest?

George grew up
To be a fine young man
When he was twenty-seven
Marriage took his hand

George led his ill-trained troops
Across the Delaware
It was back then
When all their wigs had white hair

When he was fifty-seven
He became president
Ever since then
Presidents have come and went.
